The purpose of this is to ensure the beneficiary that the insured/contractor will remedy any defects that appear after the contract conclusion, or that they will fulfill all contractual obligations arising from the contract clauses referring to the defect notification period. The maintenance guarantee is usually constituted after signing the minutes of acceptance at the completion of the works and covers the work warranty period granted by the contractor to the beneficiary in the initial contract.
